If another driver is tailgating you, what should you NOT do?

Increasing your speed when being tailgated is not advisable because it can lead to a more dangerous situation. It's better to create a buffer zone by either changing lanes, if safe, or allowing the tailgater to pass rather than engaging in a speed increase, which does not effectively address the issue of tailgating and compromises safety.
